چکیده

Press mud is a nutrient-rich organic residue and elemental sulfur being reclamation agent in combination or alone can be used for rehabilitation of salt-affected soils on wheat-pearl millet crops. The results present study revealed that press hold excellent potential to reclaim the saline-sodic soil alleviate salinity stress wheat pearl However, integrated use (S) (PM) demonstrated positive effects health crop resilience. Application S @ 50% gypsum requirement (GR) with PM 10 t ha-1 showed better than all other treatments increased plant height, number tillers, spike length, 1000 grain weight, straw yield by 11.16%, 9.87%, 27.93%, 15.65%, 33.54% 50.26% respectively. Same trend was observed panicle panicle-1, were 16.66%, 22.85%, 13.11%, 9.74%, 13.64%, and19.37% respectively over control. Integrated also ameliorated properties reduced pH (4.57%), EC (15.26%), SAR (56.26%), BD (10.11%) HC (32.5%). Therefore, application GR are recommended as an effective strategy manage productivity

Saline/Sodic sub-soil on triticale, durum wheat and bread wheat yield under irrigated conditions

Sub-soil (> 30 cm) salinity and sodicity is a growing problem particularly in irrigated agricultural areas with rising water tables, poor water quality and/or deficient soil drainage. There were two objectives in this study; (1) to quantify the effect of sub-soil salinity and sodicity in grain yield of triticale, bread wheat and durum wheat and, (2) to determine if genotypes within and between ...

Application of wastewater with high organic load for saline-sodic soil reclamation focusing on soil purification ability

Fresh water source scarcity in arid and semiarid area is limitation factor for saline-sodic soil reclamation. The reusing of agricultural drainage and industrial wastewater are preferred strategies for combating with this concern. The objective of current study was evaluation in application of industrial sugar manufacture wastewater due to high soluble organic compounds in saline-sodic and sodi...
